March 10 – Pasta Dinner & “Empire Records”

Pasta Dinner Cooking, Serving, Eating, Clean Up & 

Empire Records - (PG13)  

(The employees of an independent music shop get to know their fellow employees' strengths and weaknesses as they fight together to prevent their indie shop from being absorbed by a large chain music store.)

Please look over the menu and schedule below.  Please let Lori know if you will be able to arrive early for cooking, and if you can bring salad or desert for the dinner.

SCHEDULE:

4:00 - Cooking - We need 3-4 people to arrive at 4PM to help with cooking. 

5:15 - Set Up - We need 2 people to arrive at this time to set up tables and chairs for the meal.

5:45 - Serving - We need 2 people to stay in the kitchen to replenish food for the serving line.

6:15 - Clean Up/Dishes - We need 3-4 people for this task.  

6:45 - Take Down Tables/Chairs - We need 2 people to put the Fireside Room back in order.

7:00 - Watch our Movie!

If you are planning to attend the youth trip to South Dakota this summer, you should be helping with the pasta dinners.  If you are not able to attend the youth trip, it would be great to have your support for those attending.  The youth trip is planned for July 31 - August 6, 2011.

NOTES FROM THE March 7 YAC MEETING -

Ames United  - Speakers came and talked to YAC about projects in Ames.  They are looking for input on ideas we have for interfaith projects in Ames.  The SPIRIT project is something our group is interested in.  

We have agreed to consider doing a modified SPIRIT project with Ames United.
