Groups within the UUFA

The UUFA operates according to what is called a "fellowship model," with ministry shared by paid, professional staff, a board of directors, leadership committees, and working groups. The leadership committees and working groups are organized into committee clusters which meet regularly to ensure intra-fellowship communication and coordinate efforts toward common purposes.

In addition to these leadership groups, the Fellowship also is organized into affinity or activity groups that also are central to the ministry and mission of the UUFA but are not considered part of the leadership or governance structure. These activity groups typically are open and do not require fees, dues, or long-term commitments.

Activity Groups

Religious Education (RE) is central to the ministry and mission of the UUFA as well. RE programs and groups are organized by age and include
