Endowment Acquisitions & Disbursements Committee

According to the UUFA Bylaws, the Endowments Acquisitions & Disbursements Committee "shall solicit, encourage, and promote gifts and bequests from all possible sources and shall make a diligent effort to develop and carry out programs for that purpose. Such solicitation shall not be conducted in competition or conflict with the regular pledge programs of the Fellowship."

The major activity of the Endowment Acquisitions & Disbursements committee this year was to distribute funds from the Endowment for use by Fellowship programs.  The committee developed an application form that was distributed to committee chairs and Board members in September.  We received two applications that were funded:  $1500 was awarded to the Hazelnuts Committee to refinish the wood floor in the Fellowship Hall, and $500 was awarded to the Technology Committee and the Board to help pay for the telephone upgrade.  In February, we shared the Endowment brochure and information about the Endowment with the Stewardship Committee to use during the pledge drive.  In October, 2008, Mary Duerson resigned from the committee when she moved to Minnesota and Bob Anders was appointed by the Board to complete her term.
